Two Titans of Tech

Bill Gates and Steve Jobs appeared on stage together at Walt Mossberg's The Wall Street Journal's D: All Things Digital conference yesterday. Videos are available of the 90-minute joint interview here, and The Seattle Times' Brier Dudley has a great synopsis here. As fiercely as their two companies compete, one gets the sense that these two long-time tech titans admire one another and have so much shared history that the relationship is a cordial, professional, and built on mutual respect. When you're at that level, you don't have too many peers, and I'm sure both appreciate having someone with so much shared history and context, despite the ongoing business competition. The videos are worth taking a look at if you have the time.
