Single on the coasts

Interesting post from Interesting Maps site, showing a map from February 2007's National Geographic Magazine (which I must have missed):

Single men (represented by blue dots) are apparently much more prevalent in the West (especially, Southern California, LA, and note Seattle), while single women (represented by red dots) are much more prevalent on the East Coast, especially NY, Phila, etc. Interesting to see the visual representation.
