Prett slick: YouSendIt

This is pretty slick: the YouSendIt (www.yousendit.com) service allows one to upload large documents (up to 1GB in size) to their server and notify the recipient that it is there and ready to be downloaded. This mitigates attachment size limits for most e-mail programs, as well as the bandwidth restrictions one might have on one's own servers. An interesting service, it looks like they plan to make money through a corporate version, some advertising on the website, and perhaps some premium options down the road(?). The service is simple enough: enter the recipient's e-mail address, find the file you need to share/send, choose secure or normal transfer, and click send. The recipient recieves an e-mail with a link to the file, and has 7 days or 25 downloads (whichever comes first) to access the file. The link can also be de-activated if necessary. There may be some interesting uses to this technology, especially if you ever have to share really, really large files with others and don't have the server space, bandwidth, or FTP capabilities to do so.
