And, of course, the news story of the week: Karl Rove, White House Deputy Chief of Staff, Senior Adviser to the President, and long-time Republican party strategist, today announced that he would step down at the end of August.
His leaving may be beneficial to his boss, whose poll numbers and public support continue to be very low.
